It’s been a busy past few weeks with exhibitions, NSRI nights, a fairly big Saturday jol and comedy.
After a fairly rough week with the Hout Bay boat capsize and the drowning, I was finally off call and able to enjoy the weekend with a Sailor Jerry in hand, a braai being started by the guys and us girls watching the rugby on the tv. Kings and a swimming pool later, it was 3am and we crashed wherever we could find something soft to sleep on. I left looking like a labrador as there was 2 of the most amazing friendly and cutest labs in Cape Town, by my side on Saturday and Sunday.
On Tuesday was the iPhoneography event so brilliantly organised by Marc Forrest. It was held at Roodebloem Studios and a fair amount of people rocked up to the event. Was extremely impressed with the set-up, the wine and the vibe. Robs won 3rd place for her Formal Friday picture, Lionel Botha in 2nd place and Kobus Dippenaar who won 1st prize of an iPad for his Concrete Jungle (New York) picture taken from Brooklyn. The rest of the images were then moved to the V&A Waterfront where they had been up until Sunday 28th October for more exposure to this different medium of photography. Finally bought my new running shoes, a frakkin’ awesome pair of Adidas Supernova Glide 4 neutral shoes. I’m quite excited to start running again which I now have to start as a beginner to avoid injury.
The past weekend flew by with some comedy by Nik Rabinowitz’s Stand and Deliver which was hilarious and to carry on with the comedy theme, Theatresports on Monday night at Hiddingh campus was as usual, a success. Work has been fairly busy over the past few months and this week will be another busy one but Tuesday we took some time out to celebrate the birthday of Shezza at El Burro and it was yum as you can imagine.
I can’t really complain right now. I’m surrounded by good vibes, good people and can’t really ask for more.
